Terry O's
Story
I am a graduate of Christ The King grade school and Westside High. After living in Vegas in
the early 90's I moved back to my old neighborhood, where I continue to reside today. I have
owned and operated bars since my family bought the 18th Amendment Saloon on 82nd and Center in
1982. I think this is the chronological order of the bars I've opened since: Paddy Murphy's,
Sound Asylum, Woolly Bully, O'Toole's, The 18th Amendment on 96th St. in 1992, Fremont St.
Reggae and Blues from 1993-1996 (it was in downtown Las Vegas, halfway between Binion's
Horseshoe Casino and Jackie Gaughan's El Cortez at the edge of The Fremont St. Experience),
and Terry O's Pints & Pizza. I changed The 18th Amendment to Murphy's in 2000 and opened
SHAG in March of 2005. The Lift is our third operation in Omaha, and perhaps the best lookin'
venue yet. We officially opened in September, 2006. I have never been married or been
incarcerated. Neither look like they would be very fun.
